The man accused of killing Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, who remained unconscious outside of Los Angeles area outside of Los Angeles area in 2021, was convicted of murder in the first degree in their death on Tuesday.
David Brian Pearce, 42, was already accused of different counts of sexual abuse against seven victims-lasting a period of 13 years. “I was just told:” I’m very sorry to inform you, Mrs. Giles. … But she was dropped off in our hospital on the outside, a bit like a bag of waste, “” Her mother, Dusty Giles, said 48 hours. “And, eh …” She didn’t make it. ” … and I said, “What do you mean she didn’t make it?”

“I got the phone call in the middle of the night and said she was so sick, she was very bad, she was intubated,” said her mother, Dr. Hilda Marcela Arzola-Plascencia. Questions fell through her head when she tried to find out what happened, she said.
As a model in Los Angeles, Giles had started studying interior design, which led to her friendship with Hilda Marcela, an architect who had recently moved from Mexico to LA to start a job in interior design.
When researchers followed their online activity that night, it eventually led to Pearce as other evidence, including surveillance video, connected him to the two women that night.
