Authorities are looking for two motorists who struck a woman on the side of the road in Menifee on Sunday evening.
According to Menifee police, the scene happened near Ethanac Road and Sherman Road around 7 p.m.
Officers say the woman was sitting on Ethanac’s shoulder when an SUV clipped her, causing her to turn to the other side of the road. There she was hit by a sedan before she could move.
Both drivers took off without stopping, leaving the woman in the road.
Good Samaritans called 911 and paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment. Outwardly, her condition is said to be stable.
“It is not known whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision,” police said.
