Worcester Public Schools Closed; snow followed by strong wind today

Worcester Public Schools will be closed Thursday as snow falls across the area.

According to the National Weather Service, snow is expected to last until 10 a.m. and then we could see snow shows until 5 p.m.

More than 6 inches have already fallen in parts of Central Massachusetts.

In Worcester County, a winter weather advisory is in effect until 10 a.m., and then a wind advisory is in effect until 10 p.m. Winds are expected to be 20 to 30 mph during that period, with gusts up to 50 mph.
