One person was hospitalized Saturday evening after being accidentally shot in Dayton.

Dayton officers and medics responded to the 100 block of N. Wright Avenue for reports of a shooting around 9:26 p.m., according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

The shooting victim was in a police car when medics arrived.
Medics transported the victim to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
