STOCKTON – An 11-year-old girl was killed and five teens were injured in a crash in Stockton Sunday morning, police said.
Police responded to reports that a vehicle had crashed into a tree on N El Dorado Street, near St. Mary’s High School, at approximately 7:45 a.m.
Five girls, aged between 11 and 15, and a 13-year-old boy were found at the scene. Police reported that the 11-year-old girl died in hospital.
The teenagers were taken to hospital and are expected to be okay.
Police said it is unknown who was driving the vehicle when it hit the tree, or whether any minors were behind the wheel.
The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
