A 14-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 91-year-old woman.
Jesse Stone, who was charged with assault and burglary, entered the plea on Thursday, Nov. 7, according to court records, according to WCJB.
Stone was arrested in June after the woman called police to report she had been sexually assaulted at her Florida home near the town of Reddick.
Officers said the woman woke up around midnight on Sunday, June 9, to find Stone “creeping around her house,” according to a Marion County Sheriff’s Office news release.

“In a brutal act of violence, she was beaten and sexually assaulted by the suspect,” the press release said.
In the days after the attack, police spoke with the 14-year-old who told them that a neighbor had taken video of a person wearing a dark T-shirt and shorts jogging in the area the night before. Ocala Star Bannerciting a police report.
Although the teen denied it was him in the video, a detective noticed he was wearing similar clothing to the person in the footage, police said. Star banner.

Stone was later identified “through the collection of DNA evidence,” according to the sheriff’s office news release.
Stone confessed to the attack and told investigators he entered the house through the living room door and looked at pornography on her iPad, police said. Star bannerciting the police report.
The woman said she had spoken to the teen in the past and considered him “a good kid,” according to the police report. Star banner.

“This kind of unimaginable violence still shocks me after all my years in law enforcement,” Sheriff Billy Woods said after the arrest. “It came as a shock that someone would commit such an act against a 91-year-old, but it is truly disturbing considering the young age of the detainee.”
Stone will be sentenced on December 19, according to WESH.
