Oakland police are investigating two murders that occurred Saturday night and early Monday morning.
The first occurred just after 7 p.m. Saturday in the 8400 block of Edes Avenue in East Oakland. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a person who had been shot at least once, police said.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The second killing occurred around 12:45 a.m. Monday morning at 8400 Enterprise Way, just a few blocks from the first shooting.
The victim, a Hayward man whose name has not been released, was taken to a hospital by paramedics, where he died.
Police have not disclosed whether the shootings are related.
