Two San Francisco Police officers were injured Tuesday night when their motorcycles collided head-on with another vehicle, the department said.
At approximately 5 p.m., two San Francisco Police Department motorcycle officers were traveling westbound on Cesar Chavez Street near Pennsylvania Avenue when, for some reason not yet released by police, they collided head-on with another vehicle.
First responders arrived on scene to render aid to the two officers and the man driving the other vehicle. The officers and driver were taken to a local hospital and are expected to survive.
According to police, there is currently no evidence that driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
