A 20-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Pasadena late Friday evening.
According to Pasadena police, the crash happened near the intersection of Orange Grove and Marengo Avenue around 10:20 p.m.
Witnesses told investigators that the driver was speeding in an SUV prior to the crash.
The man was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from injuries sustained in the collision, police said.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene of the accident to cooperate with police. It is unclear whether anyone in the car was injured.
Investigators are investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
