24-year-old woman turns herself in for shooting another woman in Phoenix

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of another woman on Saturday morning.

Phoenix police responded to reports of the shooting around 5 a.m. and found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds near 27th Avenue and West Indian School Road.

Phoenix firefighters treated and transported the woman to a nearby hospital, where she died.

Later on Saturday, 24-year-old Teayanna Minter turned herself in to authorities at the Glendale Police Department for the shooting.

Phoenix Police officers took Minter into custody and booked her into the Maricopa County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder.
