33-year-old man identified as victim of East Los Angeles shooting

Investigators have identified the victim of a deadly shooting in East Los Angeles last week.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of S. Fetterly Avenue, between Telegraph Road and E. Olympic Boulevard, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

Officers arrived to find the victim, who has since been identified as 33-year-old Joseph Buenrostro, dead at the scene with a “gunshot wound to the torso,” the LASD statement said.

No information has been provided about a suspect or motive for the incident.
