A 35-year-old man was fatally injured Friday evening on the Far South Side in the Roseland neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m., the man was sitting in a parked car with a female victim when an acquaintance approached on foot and opened fire, police said.
The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a gunshot wound to the head, where he was pronounced dead.
No one had been arrested and detectives were investigating.
