Los Angeles police arrested one 38 year old man accused of slamming an elderly woman to the ground during a traffic accident at LAX airport last month.

Detectives followed Jasan Givens Sr. at Western Avenue and West Florence Avenue on June 14. He was arrested without incident. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers arrested him on a misdemeanor charge with bail set at $50,000.

The road rage incident occurred on May 31 near a curbside baggage check station. Investigators said Givens and another man got into a fistfight that spilled over to where the older woman was checking her bags. LAPD surveillance footage shows the two men running toward the older woman.

The pair bumped into the older woman, pushed her to the ground and knocked her unconscious. The Los Angeles Fire Department took the woman to the hospital in critical condition, but she has since been released.
