7-Eleven in Arroyo Grande robbed at gunpoint, search for suspects continues, police say

Suspects are still at large after a 7-Eleven on Elm Street in Arroyo Grande was robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning, police said.

According to a news release from the Arroyo Grande Police Department, officers responded to a call from a store employee around 1 a.m.

Three male subjects entered the store wearing masks, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. The suspects then fled before officers arrived, according to the press release.

Officers later learned that the robbers also threatened the employee before leaving the store.

According to the news release, the armed robbery remains under investigation and officers are reviewing video footage from the store in an effort to identify the suspects.

The robbers were last seen running from the business on The Pike towards Lancaster Drive.

Arroyo Grande police told the Tribune on Sunday that the department is still looking for the suspects.
