Feathered friends
Wildlife Rescue Inc. from New Mexico hosts “Holiday Wild!” Saturday, November 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Do some Christmas shopping while you get to know the group’s falcons, hawks and owls. There are also free children’s activities, free hot chocolate and coffee, and pastries for sale. The event will be held at the Rio Grande Nature Center, 2901 Candelaria Road NW. Parking is available downtown for $3.
Let the music move you

Weaving together
Casa San Ysidro is organizing a colcha weaving workshop on Saturday, November 30 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. The workshop provides a demonstration and hands-on activity on how to make a Spanish colonial colcha sampler. The event is included in the price of admission, $4-$6, at artsandculture.cabq.gov. Singer-songwriter Iris DeMent comes to the KiMo Theater at 7:30 PM. Thursday December 5. Tickets cost $32-$54, at artsandculture.cabq.gov. The KiMo is located at 423 Central Ave. NW.

Celebrate International Cheetah Day at the ABQ BioPark Zoo from 10am to 2pm on Wednesday, December 4. BioPark docents and the Cheetah Conservation Fund will be on hand to help visitors learn about the big cats. The event is included in the price of admission, $1-$14.50, at artsandculture.cabq.gov. Free for children 2 years and younger. The zoo is located at 903 10th St. SW.

The Open Space Visitor Center is organizing a Mix Media Workshop on Saturday, November 30 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Participants are encouraged to bring small items to place in their boxes. On the day of the workshop you pay €10 in material costs. Space is limited. The center is located at 6500 Coors Blvd. NW.
