A man has been arrested after his 82-year-old relative was found dead in a Gardena business on Saturday.
According to a statement from the Gardena Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of W. 130th Street around 9:15 a.m. after receiving reports of a person screaming.
Officers arrived at the scene and found a man wearing bloody clothing, the statement said.
They then entered and found the man, identified as 82-year-old Le Roy Harris of Inglewood, unresponsive.
He was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts by officers to save him.
Investigators have not released any information about the circumstances leading up to the incident, nor has it been disclosed what type of weapon, if any, was used during the incident.
They took the other man, identified as 43-year-old Donte Harris of Victorville, into custody on suspicion of murder. He was arrested and is being held on $2 million bail.
Police have not released the exact nature of the relationship between the two men.
