After several delays, the day has arrived. Starliner will send its first-ever crewed spacecraft to the International Space Station on Saturday.

On the coast of Titusville, all eyes are on the sky.
Visitors have been flocking to Space View Park since 7am.
“I’m fulfilling one of my bucket list items to see a launch,” said William Martinez, who traveled from Fort Walton Beach to see the blast up close. “I haven’t seen one since this is the first trip; this will be special.”

Two astronauts will be taken on Calypso, Starliner’s capsule, and will spend about a week on board the ISS.
There the crew joins the other seven astronauts already in space; then the pair will find their way back to Earth.
“We wanted to be here for this historic moment,” said Orlando resident Scott Buchanan. “It’s something we’ll take pictures of and tell our grandchildren about.”

The launch is scheduled for 12:25 p.m. and Channel 9 will carry it live on air and online at wftv.com
