Professional boxer Ryan Garcia was arrested over the weekend for alleged vandalism at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Beverly Hills.
It’s unclear exactly what led to the arrest, but officers were called to the Waldorf Astoria just before 5:45 p.m., and Garcia was taken into custody, Beverly Hills Police Department officials said.
He was arrested on suspicion of vandalism and has since been released.
No information has been provided regarding the circumstances surrounding the alleged vandalism.
Garcia last scored a win over Devin Haney in April, which was intended to be a fight for the WBC junior welterweight title. However, he missed weight by three pounds and was unable to challenge for the title.
After the fight, Garcia reportedly tested positive for performance-enhancing substances, but he has denied these allegations, which are still under review.
Garcia is 25-1 in his professional career and was the 2021 World Boxing Council interim lightweight champion.
