The Boston Celtics announced a new injury to former All-Star center Kristaps Porziņģis on Wednesday — “a torn medial retinaculum that could dislocate the posterior tibialis tendon in his left leg.”
The statement describes the condition as a “rare injury.” His availability for the remainder of the NBA Finals “will be determined on a day-by-day basis,” the team said. Boston leads the Dallas Mavericks in the series 2-0.
