Mother Nature served up the best weather you could wish for on Friday at the end of June. Unfortunately, these perfect conditions will be replaced by warmer and stormier weather this weekend.

Clouds and humidity will increase Friday evening, with lows mainly falling into the 60s.

Saturday looks to be a fairly decent day, albeit with much more cloud and humidity than was seen on Friday. Highs will peak in the low to mid 80s. A stray shower is possible for our northwestern zones.

Two rounds of storms will enter the region between Saturday and Sunday.

The first comes late Saturday evening. This round is expected to be mainly sub-severe, but there is a chance of heavy rain.

Sunday forecast

Once that round is over, it will be mostly sunny Sunday morning. This will lead to temperatures rising back into the 90s in many areas, and with high humidity, heat indices will range from the upper 90s to low 100s, particularly in central and southern New Jersey.

With all that heat and humidity to work with, the atmosphere will be primed for strong to severe storms to develop during the afternoon and evening hours. These storms can include damaging winds, hail, and heavy rain.
