Avelo Airlines will offer direct flights between Palm Beach International Airport and the Philadelphia area this fall. The flights will cost less than $100 each way and take less than three hours, according to the company.
The Houston-based airline flies between PBIA and Wilmington International Airport in Delaware, about an hour from Philadelphia by train and bus, or less than an hour by car. Flights begin Nov. 8. Prospective passengers can book tickets online at AveloAir.com.
Avelo Airlines is offering flights from $67 one-way for those who book by Tuesday, August 13, for flights in the first three weeks of November.

Tickets on the two airlines offering direct flights between PBIA and Philadelphia International Airport this fall — American Airlines and Frontier Airlines — cost more than $200 round-trip, according to Google Flights booking data searched Saturday.
Avelo passengers are allowed to bring one “personal item” on board for free, as long as it is no larger than 17 inches long, 13 inches high and 9 inches wide. Carry-on and checked bags cost extra. Bags weighing more than 50 pounds cost passengers an additional $100 each. Bookings or cancellations not made online cost $25. Passengers who want to choose their own seats must pay an additional fee.
Allegiant Air also recently announced that it will offer nonstop flights from PBIA to Gerald R. Ford International Airport, which is about 13 miles from Grand Rapids, Michigan, with fares starting at $69 one-way. Prospective passengers can book flights online at AllegiantAir.com, with departures beginning Nov. 14. Travel time is just over three hours each way.
