German judge orders arrest of Solingen attack suspect

The suspect in the knife attack in Solingen, in which three people died, has been remanded in custody on the orders of an investigating judge.

After being flown by helicopter to the German Federal Court of Justice (BGH) in Karlsruhe, the presiding judge issued a formal arrest warrant on suspicion of, among other things, murder and membership of the terrorist group Islamic State, the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office said.
