Tee Higgins will participate in practice on Thursday, according to Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor, a positive sign for the team that is 0-2.
Higgins, 25, has not played a game this season while battling a nagging hamstring injury. He did warm up for Sunday’s game before the Bengals’ 26-25 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, prompting Taylor to say things were “moving in a positive direction.”
Higgins hasn’t practiced since Week 1. On Thursday, Taylor said after practice they’ll “see where it goes” with the hope that Higgins can play Monday against the Washington Commanders.
“Tee is — as simple as he’s a top player in this league,” Taylor said. “That makes any personnel group better when he’s in there. So, him and Ja’Marr, obviously two guys that draw a lot of attention in their own right. So when you have them on the field together, it’s definitely a good asset to have.”
After collecting at least 908 yards and six touchdowns in each of his first three NFL seasons, Higgins recorded 42 catches for 656 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games in 2023.
