Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, Leon Draisaitl, Auston Matthews and Sidney Crosby reacted to their NHL 25 ratings in a video with EA Sports NHL.
Matthews, Draisaitl and MacKinnon seemed pleased with their ratings, while Crosby seemed surprised to be up one point for a total of 94.
McDavid laughed about his overall matchup with his jersey number, but had a question that NHL gamers have been asking for years: Why doesn’t EA Sports give players 99 ratings, and what is the criteria for getting a 99?
Hopefully McDavid gets upgraded to a 99 this year and the players get insight into how player overalls are determined.
McDavid and MacKinnon are the two highest-rated players in the game, Draisaitl is fifth, Matthews is sixth and Crosby is ninth.
