21-year-old man arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting 13-year-old girl in Brockton

A 21-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Brockton.

Police said the teen was walking home from West Middle School on Tuesday when a man approached her in the driveway of a home on West Elm Street.

According to police, after a brief fight, the victim managed to escape and ran home.

School police worked with Brockton police to conduct a search of 20 Cherry Street in Brockton on Friday evening.

Detectives located the suspect, Markenson Beuge, 21, in Easton and took him to the Brockton Police Department.

Beuge will be charged with assault next week.
