Are the leaves changing in the Hudson Valley?

October is officially here, and that means fall colors are finally becoming more common in the Hudson Valley.

I Love NY’s Fall Leaf Tracker allows visitors to monitor the progress of fall foliage each week during the fall season, with the final report posted on October 2. Leaf progression is color-coded, with green indicating “no change” in foliage progression, yellow showing the leaves “just changing,” and scaling all the way to dark red for “past peak” foliage.

Foliage progress is reported statewide by volunteers, who typically include a location and photo with their observation.
