Three students and driver injured after school bus crashes into Union County woods

A school bus headed to Porter Ridge High School left the road and crashed in the woods Wednesday morning, authorities told Channel 9.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. near Mill Grove Road.

According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, the bus veered off the road on a bend and crashed. There were 33 students on board when the crash occurred.

Three students and the bus driver were injured, the sheriff’s office said. They were treated for minor injuries.
