Several people were injured, some seriously, in a shooting in Westport on Wednesday evening.
Kansas City police officers responded to the scene of the shooting, which occurred near a hookah lounge, around 9 p.m. Wednesday, said Sgt. Phil DiMartino, a KCPD spokesman.
Multiple shots were fired, DiMartino said. He said at least five people were injured in the shooting. Three were seriously injured.
The shooting scene remains active as Kansas City police begin their investigation. No fatalities have been reported.
