Detectives are investigating after a 24-year-old man was shot early Saturday evening in West Baltimore, police said.
Officers in the area of ​​the 1700 block of North Calhoun Street heard gunshots around 5:26 p.m., Baltimore police said in a news release. While walking toward the gunfire, officers found a 24-year-old man who had been shot. He was located in the 1700 block of North Mount Street, in Sandtown-Winchester.
Police said officers performed life-saving measures until medics arrived and took the injured man to a hospital.
