Five high school students reportedly fell ill Monday at a Northridge high school campus after possibly eating cannabis-infused edibles, fire officials said.
The Los Angeles Fire Department was called to Nobel Charter Middle School, located in the 9900 block of Tampa Avenue, around 2:20 p.m. after learning of the incident, according to a statement from the department.
They were called about five female students who suddenly started feeling ill, the statement said.
While all five students were reportedly conscious and breathing when firefighters arrived, three girls were taken to a nearby hospital in fair condition. The other two were released to their parents or guardians after being evaluated at the scene.
It is unclear what exactly the students ate that made them sick.
