Julie Chrisley is back in federal custody after serving 84 months in prison

Reality star Julie Chrisley is back in federal prison in Kentucky.

The reality star was sentenced to 84 months in prison last month after a federal appeals court vacated her original 2022 sentence.

Similar to when she was brought to Atlanta for the criminal case hearing, Chrisley has been in the custody of the US Marshal Service when she was transferred back to Lexington FMC.

This comes just days after Julie has appealed against the judge who sentenced her again to seven years in prison.

Julie’s sentence was overturned by an appeals court in June and the lower court ordered her to be resentenced. That same court also upheld the conviction of her husband, Todd Chrisley, who is currently serving 13 years in federal prison in Pensacola, Florida.

The two were found guilty of fraud in 2022, together with their accountant Peter Tarantino.

The couple’s daughter, Savannah, spoke about the treatment her mother received when the marshal transferred her to Atlanta for the hearing last month.

“I think the transportation process is a process that no one knows, and probably the most inhumane process, especially for women. There is no reason why a woman should be carried with more than 75 men and only one of the four should be women. There is just no reason why this would happen,” Savannah said. “I can’t imagine what that process means for her.”

Todd and Julie were charged with conspiracy to commit bank fraudbank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States and tax fraud.

Julie Chrisley was also charged with wire fraud and obstruction of justice.
