MINNEAPOLIS – Pop superstar Pink has another Twin Cities concert on Friday night, but in the break between shows she made an extra special friend from Minnesota, someone who she says will accompany her for the rest of her tour.
The Bond Between, formerly Secondhand Hounds, posted a photo to Facebook on Thursday saying, “P!NK contacted us while she was in town for her St. Paul show to care for our sweet boy, Graham Cracker! “
Minnetonka Animal Control says they have been “blowing up” ever since.
“They said, ‘Pink is a huge animal lover and she wants to help an animal on their journey to eternal life,’” says Maggie Schmitz, marketing director of The Bond Between.
So “so what” if you can’t adopt. The 13-week-old puppy sends a message about foster care, which the artist plans to do.
“At the end of the tour, we will work with her to accept adoption applications for Graham,” Schmitz said.
Susan Stinson was at the concert when her world fell apart while she happened to be volunteering at The Bond Between.
“I screamed! I never expected it in a million years,” Stinson said. ‘It’s huge. Just to have someone of Pink’s caliber advocating for rescue dogs and shelters.”
And you can do it too.
“If you just want to help an animal through its journey, like Pink did, you can say yes to fostering and bring him into your home and help him get out of a shelter and find his forever home,” Schmitz said.
So if you want to “raise your glass” tonight, fans and advocates would probably tell Pink to do so.
“I would probably give her a huge hug,” Stinson said about whether she could meet Pink. “I probably wouldn’t have words. It’s just too exciting.”
During Thursday night’s show, Pink said that while her plan is to merely cherish Graham Cracker, there is a chance the artist will keep the small laboratory.
