Vice President Kamala Harris starts early voting in Detroit

Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to kick off early voting in Detroit on Saturday with a visit to Western International High School.

The event is expected to start at 2 p.m

Western International High School is located at 1500 Scotten St. in Mexicantown in southwest Detroit.

Harris spent Friday traveling around Michigan with presidential campaign rallies in Grand Rapids, Lansing and Oakland County.

Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, and former President Donald Trump, the Republican candidate, have spent a lot of time in Michigan as the Nov. 5 Election Day approaches. Michigan, a closely contested swing state, is in a dead heat according to polls.
