MINNEAPOLIS – Temperatures will be well above average on Sunday, with highs rising into the low 80s.

It will be a warm day for the Vikings’ home game against the Lions. Temperatures start around 50 degrees in the morning before climbing to near 80 degrees on the final descent.

Sunday marks the 30th day in a row without measurable rain in Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport – the fourth longest streak without rain recorded there.

So far, this fall has been the warmest and driest on record in the Twin Cities. The average temperature this fall is 65.2 degrees, while the previous record was 64.6 degrees in 2021. Only 0.06 inches of precipitation fell this fall, surpassing the 2022 record of 0.40 inches.

The dry, warm weather will continue into Monday, with highs expected to reach the low 80s. A weak front will pass through Tuesday to Wednesday that may cause some showers, but the chance of precipitation still seems minimal.
