A school bus struck a pedestrian in Philadelphia’s Germantown neighborhood Monday afternoon, police said.
According to police, the female pedestrian was struck by a school bus carrying students while walking in a crosswalk at the intersection of Chew and Chelten Avenue around 3:07 p.m. The pedestrian was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center with serious injuries, police said. There were no reports of injuries to the students or the driver.
The bus driver struck the pedestrian as he tried to turn left from Chelten Avenue onto Chew Avenue, police said.
