COLUMBIA – State police responded to a 7-Eleven gas station in Columbia early Sunday morning for a reported armed robbery.
State Troop K responded to the gas station at 52 Route 66 at 2:30 am
According to police, the suspect entered the store with a silver revolver in his hand and demanded money and cigarettes from the store clerk.
The suspect is described as a male, approximately 6 feet to 6 feet tall, of thin build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, gray pants, black shoes, black face covering and dark-colored gloves.
The clerk gave the suspect the money and cigarettes.
Police say the suspect was last seen running on foot from the store toward Route 66 and then possibly driving away from the scene in a dark-colored SUV.
