A man was arrested in Waterbury on Tuesday after police found him with more than 100 bags of heroin.
Keishawn Dancy, 26, of Waterbury, was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, according to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police Department.
Bessette said the arrest came as the department’s Vice and Intelligence Division conducted a narcotics investigation in the Bronson Street area following “numerous recent complaints of drug activity in the area.” Police believe Dancy was “actively involved in the sale of narcotics,” Bessette said.
When he was arrested, police seized 110 bags of heroin and $260, according to Bessette.
Dancy was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to be arraigned in Waterbury Superior Court on November 5.
“The Waterbury Police Department remains committed to addressing drug activity within the community to ensure the safety of residents,” Bessette said in a statement.
