Man sentenced to 5 years for attempted strangulation of pregnant woman in Streetsboro

A man will spend five years in prison after admitting to strangling a pregnant woman in Streetsboro in July.

Roger Lee Adam Moore was living in his car outside a Streetsboro home when police say he choked a pregnant woman into unconsciousness on July 2 after an argument.

Moore was arrested July 3 after the victim, an Akron woman who lived in the Streetsboro home, went to a hospital with bruises. A hospital staff member called the police and a warrant was issued for Moore.

He was arrested hours later at the Streetsboro home after Streetsboro police briefly shut down State Route 43 near the Ohio Turnpike for a report that Moore may have had a gun. However, he surrendered peacefully.
