After another week of intense Russian airstrikes on his country, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday renewed his call for Western allies to help with air defense.
Last week alone, there were more than 1,100 glide bomb attacks and more than 560 drone strikes, Zelensky reported on X.
According to the president, the Russians also fired about twenty missiles and cruise missiles at the country.
Ukraine needs help protecting its people, stressed Zelensky, who also published a video of the latest destruction.
Cooperation with Western partners will continue to stop the terror of the Russian enemy, he said.

In addition to its ground operations, Russia has been conducting air strikes on Ukraine almost daily for more than two and a half years. It has repeatedly targeted Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
In an interview on Russian state television, President Vladimir Putin, who ordered the massive invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, again warned the West against allowing Kiev to use long-range weapons shipments to attack targets deep inside Russia.
Because Ukraine could not carry out such attacks without the help of officers and satellite data from NATO states, Russia would see this as Western involvement in the war, Putin said.
The Russian Defense Ministry is preparing various response scenarios for the case, he added, without giving details.
