Nov. 1—LIMA — A Lima man received a deal Friday from Allen County Common Pleas Court prosecutors in his aggravated robbery and assault case.
The deal for 20-year-old Jeremiah Washington includes the first-degree robbery charge being reduced to a second-degree felony, which still includes the firearm specification for three years. The second-degree assault charge would remain the same, but the attached three-year firearm specification would be reduced to one year. The Public Prosecution Service does not want to issue a sentencing recommendation.
According to court documents, Allen County sheriff’s deputies responded to Bill’s Drive Thru at 2135 N. West St., Lima, on July 17 for someone allegedly shot in the arm by Washington. Washington fled to an apartment complex on Brower Road, where he was arrested.
Washington is being held in the Allen County Jail on a $150,000 bond. A final preliminary examination is scheduled for Jan. 10 and a jury trial is scheduled for Feb. 11.
