Sunday is the last day for early in-person voting in Ohio

Sunday was the last chance Ohioans have to get to the polls early in person.

Early voting began on October 8 and concluded today. The polls were open today from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

So far, more than 1.4 million Ohioans have voted early in person. More than 285,000 people voted in person across the Miami Valley, according to data from the Ohio Secretary of State’s office.

As reported News Center 7 at 6 p.mour team saw long lines for early voting in Montgomery County on Sunday. There were a few people who saw the lines and decided to wait and vote on Tuesday, but most people with our team said it was worth the wait.

Mail-in absentee ballots must be postmarked by Monday, November 4. If not, they must be delivered in person to your county board of elections on Tuesday, November 5 at 7:30 PM.

As of Saturday, 83 percent of the nearly 1.15 million absentee ballots requested in the state were returned.

The polling stations will not be open on Monday and will reopen at 6:30 am on election day, November 5. The polling stations close at 7:30 PM
