PROVIDENCE – A 24-year-old woman was shot outside a home on Russo Street Sunday afternoon, according to Providence police.
The woman’s injury was not life-threatening and she was taken from the scene in the Charles neighborhood to Rhode Island Hospital after the shooting around 3 p.m., said Detective Maj. David Lapatin of the Providence Police Department.
Investigators had not made any arrests in the case as of Sunday evening, he said, as the investigation continued.
