Philadelphia Flyers trade defenseman to Edmonton Oilers

The Philadelphia Flyers have traded defenseman Ronnie Attard to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for defenseman Ben Gleason.

Attard, 25, didn’t make the Flyers’ roster out of training camp and played in the AHL with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. In seven games with the AHL team this season, he had zero points, 19 penalty minutes and a minus-3 rating.

From 2021-22 to 2023-24, Attard appeared in 29 games for the Flyers, recording two goals, six points, 49 hits and a minus-1 rating.

As for Gleason, he has played seven games for the Bakersfield Condors this season, where he has one goal, four points and a minus-1 rating. He hasn’t played at the NHL level since the 2018-19 season, when he was with the Dallas Stars. With Dallas, he had one assist and a minus-1 rating.
