Los Angeles police arrested a 43-year-old woman for allegedly abusing one of her students.
Detectives have arrested teacher Colleen Jo Matarico for lewd acts with a minor after she allegedly groomed and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old in her classroom. According to the LAPD, she later convinced the victim to have sex with her in her car.
After reviewing the case, the Los Angeles County District Attorney charged Matarico with five counts of lewd acts on a minor, two counts of lewd acts on a minor 14 or 15 years old, and one count of furnishing marijuana to a minor.
Detectives believe there may be more victims who have not come forward.
