CHICAGO (CBS) — Protesters gathered outside The Vic Theater in Lakeview Friday evening as comedian Michael Rapaport took the stage.
Supporters of the Palestinian cause have called Rapaport a “racist Zionist,” citing jokes and comments he made on stage and online in support of Israel.
In June, Rapaport was scheduled to perform at The Comedy Vault in Batavia. The shows were canceled due to death threats.
CBS News Chicago reached out to Rapaport for comment Friday evening but had not heard back as of 10 p.m
