Kansas City, Kansas, man charged with murder in connection with fatal shooting

A Kansas City, Kansas, man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a fatal shooting Friday.

David Marcos, 25, is charged with manslaughter in Wyandotte County District Court, according to online Wyandotte County jail records.

Officers were called to the area of ​​Sixth Street and Splitlog Avenue on November 8 around 5 p.m. for reports of a shooting. They found a man with a gunshot wound, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Tuesday, police publicly identified the victim as Daniel Thurman, 21.

Police have not yet said what they believe led to the shooting. Marcos was taken into custody on November 8 as detectives continued their investigation.
