He said cards were received for a class at the VA Medical Center from local businesses and children thanking the vets for their service on Veterans Day.

“I would like to thank all the children and businesses who sent us the cards and thank us for the work we have done to support and protect our country. So thank you very much. It means a lot to me from the bottom of my heart, so thank you,” Marr said.

Marr said that whether there’s a vet walking down the street or at the mall, it’s a great benefit to hear someone say, “Thank you for your service.”
