Driver airlifted after crash in Bristol

Nov. 12 – Elkhart County deputies reported that the driver of a white Ford F-150 was ejected from his vehicle during a crash on Ind. Thursday at 5:55 p.m. 15 and US 20 in Bristol and was flown to South Bend Memorial Hospital. The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

HIT-AND-RUN

Amanda Davis, 51, reported to Elkhart County deputies Sunday at 10:31 p.m. that her 2020 VW Tiguan was struck by another vehicle after she parked in a driveway overnight in the 18000 block of CR 104

ARRESTS

– A 23-year-old man was arrested and jailed at 4:05 a.m. Saturday by Elkhart County deputies on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated after being stopped for a traffic violation on CR 40 west of Ind. 15 in Goshen.

– A 53-year-old man was arrested and jailed by Elkhart County deputies Saturday at 10:55 p.m. on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated after being involved in a crash on old CR 17 south of CR 18.

– A 42-year-old man was arrested and jailed at 3:41 a.m. Sunday by Elkhart County deputies on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and never issued a driver’s license after he was found slumped over the wheel in a black Ford Escape from 2017 near Ind. 120 and Second Street in Elkhart.

BURGLARY

– A 39-year-old man reported to Elkhart County deputies that at 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 4, someone forced entry into the office building at AllSecure Self Storage, 5318 CR 11.

-Polymer Shapes, 28963 Ventura Drive, Elkhart, reported to Elkhart County deputies at 12:14 p.m. Friday that someone had broken in and stolen several computers.

– A 39-year-old man reported to Elkhart County deputies that between 9 a.m. Oct. 12 and 3:30 p.m. Friday, someone forced entry into his storage unit at Storage Rentals of America, 52292 CR 9, Elkhart, and stole items.

– A 47-year-old woman reported to Elkhart County deputies that someone forced entry into two storage units at Storage Rentals of America, 52292 CR 9, Elkhart, on Friday or Saturday.

– A 65-year-old woman reported to Elkhart County deputies that someone forced entry into her storage unit at Storage Rentals of America, 52292 CR 9, Elkhart, between Nov. 3 and Saturday.

OFFICER’S REPORT

—Cass County, Michigan, dispatch requested the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office to attempt to locate a missing person believed to be in the area on Sunday. The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office located the suspect alive and well in the 3000 block of Cassopolis Street in Elkhart.

– A 45-year-old man reported to Elkhart County deputies Sunday at 2:06 p.m. that he was clearing his deceased father’s belongings from his home in the 52000 block of Robin Street and found a .22-caliber rifle that had been modified and was not legally possessed. The man turned the firearm over to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office to have it destroyed.

CRIMINAL recklessness

– A 26-year-old woman reported to Elkhart County deputies Thursday at 6:14 p.m. Someone she knew pushed her while she was armed with a gun and also threatened to shoot her in the 22000 block of CR 45 in Elkhart.

– A 55-year-old man reported to Elkhart County deputies Friday at 2:10 p.m. Someone tried to run him over with their car in his driveway in the 27000 block of Centennial Drive in Elkhart.
