Kansas City-area homes belonging to Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were burglarized and burglarized within hours last month, according to authorities and police reports.
Officers were dispatched to Mahomes’ home in Belton, Missouri, about 30 miles south of Kansas City, shortly after midnight on Oct. 6, according to an incident summary from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
The report does not mention Mahomes, a three-time Super Bowl champion quarterback, by name, but the address in the report matches Mahomes’ public records. The report does not state whether anything was stolen.
A representative for Mahomes did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
It is not clear whether authorities have identified a suspect. A Cass County sheriff’s spokesman cited an active investigation and declined to comment further.
The alleged crime was first reported by TMZ, which also reported a burglary about 10 miles north of Kelce’s home in Leawood, Kansas, the next day at 7:33 p.m.
A police report obtained by NBC affiliate KSHB of Kansas City shows that $20,000 in cash was taken.
A Leawood police spokesman said the department only comments on homicides and fatal crashes. The spokesperson sent NBC News a map showing where and when 911 calls were made in the city.
According to the call log, on Oct. 8, someone reported a burglary at a home near where Kelce’s home is located.
A representative for Kelce did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
