A Sioux Falls man has been arrested for the Dunham Park shooting in August, according to a news release from Sioux Falls Police Department Sgt. Sean Kooistra.
Walter Deshawn Stewart, 32, was arrested Friday at 1:30 p.m. in connection with the shooting that killed 29-year-old Joshau Allen and injured three others, the news release said.
Stewart is charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault, the news release said.
Stewart is being held on a $1 million bond, according to the news release.
Others injured in the shooting include a 27-year-old man, a 40-year-old man and a 26-year-old man. At the time of the shooting, the 27-year-old and 40-year-old were believed to have life-threatening injuries.
The police will release more information during the police briefing for the media on Monday morning, Kooistra said in the press release.
